An attempt to storm the village of Al-Mitras in Tartous countryside

On Oct 5, 2013, The Syrian regime’s attempt to storm the village of Al-Matras in the countryside of Tartous city and fears of a new massacre at the hands of the popular committees there, in light of continuous artillery bombardment, which resulted in the death of five people and the wounding of four others.

The village of Al-Matras is considered an opposition village to the Syrian regime surrounded by loyal villages, and there were many attempts to storm the village, and fears escalated that the regime forces and the shabiha would commit other massacres if they were able to storm the village.
